Many of you know that Digital Designs is a family business. Part of our family, our mother, Alice Sandhu, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2006.

We don't go in for job tittles here, we've always rolled up our sleeves and did what ever was necessary. Our mom was the epitome of this example. We built this business with no funding, no corporate deep pockets, just the idea that business isn't only about how much money you make, and how fast. We worked side by side for many years, building and reinvesting ourselves for the future.

Alice was the one who kept DD going. Our mom's father, our Nana, taught her and us that if you are going to do something, do it with all you've got. Believe in yourself, treat people as you want to be treated, and God will provide. She worked hard, enjoyed life, and helped the many people who crossed her path. She believed there was no difference between business and personal life, business is another opportunity to get to know more people, to make a difference.

We are thankful of the time we had with her, thankful for the devotion she showed us, and the many people in our lives. She is missed, there is a giant void of the doings and deeds she expressed every day of her busy life. In her, we have an example to help us continue these life beliefs, to pass them down to our sons and daughters and all of those we are fortunate enough to meet.

Alice spoke fondly and often of all of you who have been apart of the DD family. This gave her great pleasure to interact and be apart of so many lives. We thank you for that.

Alice's passing came as a shock to all of us. She had a massive heart attack. It was quick and she didn't suffer, there were no previous symptoms that prepared us for this loss. Needless to say this is a very trying time for our family and employees, it will take the Company some time to regain our productivity. However, we have a strong crew that loved Alice very much who have all stepped to the plate during this difficult time. Everyone will be doing their best, as we know Alice would have wanted... no, expected. Please be patient with us during this time.

Sadly,
Jassa, Vicki, Aysha and everyone here at DD
